Have your documents, web pages in English or French proofread and checked, to ensure their syntax and spelling are impeccable. As a matter of fact, I propose solutions for rewriting, for stylistic harmonisation (when the document is written by several authors)
Context
Do you have a translated text into your hands (which you know the source or not), and you want to have it proofread in order to evaluate its quality and adapt it if necessary?
Documents and formats
The documents will be sent in the same layout and the same file format received unless otherwise stated agreed upon and accepted.
Proofreading
Proofreading is intended to correct the spelling, grammar, typography (capital letters, punctuation) and syntax (structuring of sentences) of a document. It assumes that the original text has been understood and correctly translated without misinterpretation, and only requires a “grooming”. A proofreading is performed on a target document and does not necessarily take into account the source document. This practice also involves a perfect command of the language.
Language
A review includes by definition proofreading, but is not limited to the aspect of “linguistic validity” of the text. It is a question of comparing sentence by sentence the source text and the target text in order to check the relevance of the translation, to make sure of the respect of a predefined terminology and to adjust the global style. It is therefore essential to have both the source text and the target text for the review.
